Michael has been a wine and spirit supplier since 1982. Having worked at Brown Forman and Allied Domecq in senior sales management roles across the country, Michael returned home to Louisville in 2005 and formed Smart Beverage Group. SBG specialized in importing and national distribution of wine and spirit products from Australia, New Zealand and the UK. He formed Heritage Wine and Spirits in 2015.

Today, Heritage Wine and Spirits operates with an impressive spirits portfolio that includes absinthe, armagnac, bourbon, bitters, brandy, calvados, cognac, cordials, gin, grappa, moonshine, mixers, scotch, tequila, rum, mezcal, vermouth, vodka, and whisky. Their wine list includes wines from Argentina, Australia, the United States, France, Chile, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, South Africa, and South Korea.
